About Jaafar

Associate Professor Jaafar Abduo is a specialist prosthodontist and researcher at the Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne, part of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) from the University of Otago, New Zealand, a PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2015 with a thesis titled 'Evaluation of Virtual Planning as a Tool for Prosthodontic Treatment,' and holds Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Prosthodontics (MRACDS Pros), awarded in 2011. Previously affiliated with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Western Australia, Abduo now serves as Associate Professor in Prosthodontics and Senior Lecturer, convening the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Implants) and courses in Removable Prosthodontics.
