Dr. J. M. Patil is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon, Maharashtra, India. Affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, he joined the institution on July 12, 2012, and recently completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, in addition to holding an M.Tech. and B.E. in the field.

Dr. Patil's research specializations and academic interests center on data mining and learning analytics, machine learning, educational data mining, web mining, and database management systems. He teaches courses including Database Management Systems and Data Mining. His scholarly contributions include publications such as 'Recommendation system for carpooling and regular taxicab services' (IEEE, 2017), 'Product Based Recommendation System,' 'Classification and Clustering using Intelligent Technique,' 'Literature Review on Replication of Voice Using Deep Learning Technique' (2023), and 'A Review on Prediction and Analysis of Multiple Diseases in Healthcare using Data Mining.' Dr. Patil has also filed multiple patents, including 'Cyber Security Based Risk Assessment and Mitigation Framework for IIoT' (2023), 'A Methodology for Educational Data Mining' (2022), and others on machine learning-based systems and real-time medical applications. In 2025, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University recognized him as a Ph.D. supervisor in Computer Science and Engineering. As department head, he leads undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the discipline.
