Rate My Professor Humayun Rasheed Khan

Dr. Humayun Rasheed Khan serves as Professor at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, having joined on deputation from the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service on April 1, 2024. A seasoned judicial officer with over 18 years of experience, he was appointed to the judicial service as Munsif/Civil Judge (Junior Division) on June 15, 2006, promoted to Civil Judge (Senior Division) on December 15, 2009, and confirmed as such on September 11, 2019. His judicial career encompasses diverse postings, including Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Judicial Magistrate in Gonda, Civil Judge (Junior Division) in Iglas-Aligarh, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division)/Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Aligarh, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Barabanki, and Additional District & Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court) in Kaushambi. These roles have equipped him with extensive expertise in civil and criminal adjudication.

Dr. Khan's academic foundation includes a B.A. (Hons.) (First Division, 1996), LL.B. (First Division, 1999), LL.M. (Second Division, 2002), and Ph.D. in Law (2012) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, complemented by qualification in the UGC National Eligibility Test in Law. He has undertaken specialized training at institutions such as the Institute of Judicial Training & Research, U.P., Lucknow, IIM Lucknow, National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, and Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. Beyond regular judicial duties, his deputation assignments include Law Officer at the SC/ST Commission, U.P., Lucknow; Deputy Director and Additional Director (Research) at the Institute of Judicial Training & Research, Lucknow; and Special Secretary & Additional Law Researcher (Legal Cell) at the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.
