About Hayden

Hayden Wilkinson is a Lecturer in the School of Humanities at the University of Western Australia. He earned his PhD in 2021 from the Australian National University School of Philosophy, where his dissertation, titled 'Infinite aggregation,' addressed challenges in moral decision-making involving infinite value. Prior to his current role, Wilkinson served as a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Global Priorities Institute. His academic career focuses on philosophy, with expertise spanning normative ethics, decision theory, population ethics, infinite value theory, axiology, economics and ethics, and infinite decision theory. Additional interests include applied ethics, consumer ethics, biomedical ethics, philosophy of economics, charitable giving, and effective altruism.
