Harry Truong, FACP, is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at the School of Allied Health and Human Performance, College of Health, Adelaide University. He holds the designation of Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2021. Additionally, Truong is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist. His postgraduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy were earned at the University of South Australia. Since 2012, Truong has taught in the Physiotherapy program, delivering instruction in both the undergraduate Bachelor of Physiotherapy and postgraduate Master of Advanced Clinical Physiotherapy programs. From 2012 to 2016, he worked as one of the physiotherapists for Adelaide United Football Club in the Hyundai A-League, gaining practical experience in elite sports physiotherapy.
Truong's academic and research interests focus on clinical reasoning in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and manual therapy. He co-authored the 2025 paper "Acceptability of a 12-week movement program (Motum) to address functional outcomes in people with chronic non-specific low back pain: a mixed methods pilot study" published in Musculoskeletal Science and Practice (Farmer, A., Kumar, S., Truong, H., & Brinsley, J., volume 80, 103424). Truong maintains membership in the Australian Physiotherapy Association's Musculoskeletal National Group and Sports & Exercise National Group, engaging in professional activities within these specialized areas. Through his combined clinical specialization and long-term teaching commitment, Truong contributes to advancing musculoskeletal physiotherapy education and practice at Adelaide University.
