About Georgina

Professor Georgina Jones is a Professor of Health Psychology at Leeds Beckett University, based in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She completed her D.Phil at the University of Oxford, affiliated with Green Templeton College, where she worked in the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Health Services Research Section. Prior to joining Leeds Beckett University in 2016, she held the position of Reader in Social Science at the University of Sheffield's School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR). Jones is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and serves as Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Implant Research (IRIS) at Leeds Beckett University.

Her research utilizes both quantitative and qualitative methods, focusing on the development of patient-reported outcome measures, psychometrics, and patient decision-making, with a special emphasis on women's reproductive health. She is internationally recognised for raising awareness of quality of life issues and for developing patient-reported outcome measures and patient decision aids in the field of reproductive health.
