Gao Niu serves as Department Chair and Associate Professor of Actuarial Science in the Mathematics and Economics Department at Bryant University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, M.S. from Western Illinois University, and B.S. from Iowa Wesleyan College. In January 2023, Niu received tenure and promotion in recognition of his academic contributions to the Bryant University community. His scholarly work spans actuarial science, financial planning, big data applications, and interdisciplinary topics.
