Dr. Erin Harvey, MD, serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus. In her leadership role as Director of Urgent Care at Children's Hospital Colorado, she oversees the delivery of pediatric urgent care services at multiple sites, including the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, North Campus in Broomfield, South Campus in Highlands Ranch, and Outpatient and Urgent Care in Wheat Ridge. Affiliated with Children's Hospital Colorado, Dr. Harvey specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, contributing to clinical care, medical education, and faculty development within the Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Harvey completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2005. She fulfilled her pediatrics residency training at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Children's Memorial Hospital Program, graduating in 2008. Board-certified in pediatrics, she has received the Joan Bothner Award for Excellence in Pediatric Emergency Medicine in 2023, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the field. In 2025, Dr. Harvey was elected as a member at large to the Board of Directors of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care, a prestigious organization comprising leaders from top children's hospitals across the country. She is also a participant in the Children's Hospital Colorado Peer Support Network at the Anschutz Medical Campus, promoting physician wellness. Her scholarly work includes co-authorship on the publication 'Performance of a Molecular Test for Group A Streptococcus Detection in Pediatric Patients With Pharyngitis' in the Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (2023). Through her clinical leadership, educational efforts, professional service, and recognition, Dr. Harvey exerts considerable influence in advancing pediatric emergency and urgent care practices.
