Professor Bradley's research specializations encompass health psychology applications across healthcare settings, including patient experiences with long-term conditions such as adult mental ill-health, mental health nurse and pharmacist prescribing practices, patient confidentiality among mental health nursing students, psychological impacts of living with severe allergy post-anaphylaxis, and expertise in qualitative research methods like grounded theory and meta-synthesis. She co-chairs a qualitative research special interest forum and has led successful interdisciplinary research bids, such as the evaluation of an NHS Leadership Academy talent management initiative. As Principal Investigator for the NIHR-funded THRIVE programme tackling rural mental health inequalities and collaborator on the award-winning STARS programme supporting health professionals' research skills, her work fosters coproduction and evaluation expertise. She supervises PhD students on diverse topics including perinatal mental health, physical activity in bipolar disorder, and staff experiences post-student suicide, chairs the Research Degrees Board, serves as a regular peer reviewer for journals, and acts as an external examiner for doctoral theses while contributing to National Institute for Health Research panels.
