Rate My Professor Dora Aamot

Dora B. Aamot serves as assistant professor at the School of Business and Economics in Alta at Universitetet i Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway. She earned a PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences from UiT, defending her thesis titled “Co-survival and Sustaining Tourism during Fundamental Challenges: A Case Study on the Nature-based Tourism Sector in Alta” on 4 November 2025. Aamot also holds an MA in Tourism Studies. Her research centers on sustainability, resilience, and adaptive strategies in nature-based tourism, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises in Northern Norway. She is affiliated with the research group Narrating the Postcolonial North.
