Sakellariou earned his B.S. degree in Chemistry and Physics from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 1997, M.S. in nuclear and particle physics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon-1 in 1998, and Ph.D. in nuclear magnetic resonance from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 2001 under Prof. Lyndon Emsley. His research group develops novel NMR methods for high-resolution and sensitivity in high-field NMR, portable NMR and MRI sensors, and relaxometry/diffusion studies in porous solids, targeting sustainable materials and processes.
