Rate My Professor Denis Grégoire

Denis Grégoire is a Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HEC Montréal, holder of the Rogers-J.A. Bombardier Chair of Entrepreneurship. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration, specializing in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005, a Master of Science in Management from HEC Montréal in 1997, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University in 1992. Before joining HEC Montréal in 2014, he held faculty positions at Georgia State University and Syracuse University in the United States for nearly a decade. Grégoire's research focuses on the cognitive processes that support entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy, particularly the identification of entrepreneurial opportunities, decisions to pursue international expansion, and the contributions of angel investors to high-potential ventures.

He has published in premier outlets including Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Business Venturing. Additionally, he is Associate Director of Creative Destruction Lab-Montreal and former Academic Director of NEXT AI-Montreal (2018-2023).
