Rate My Professor David Geraghty

Geraghty's background includes extensive time spent living in Asia for four years, during which he travelled widely across the region. This experience is reflected in his authorship of the book A Snake in the Shrine: Journeys with Nobby through Middle Japan, published by Otago University Press in 2001. The book chronicles his adventures teaching English and journeying through Japan in the late 1990s. In more recent scholarly work, Dr Geraghty co-authored the 'THEMATIC CHAPTER: INDIGENOUS PEOPLE' for the Global State of Harm Reduction 2024 report, collaborating with Tuari Potiki, Shawnee Brausch, and Tracey Potiki from the National Māori Addiction Centre for Aotearoa. His involvement extends to university governance, as evidenced by his attendance at Senate meetings, and public policy submissions, including input to the New Zealand Treasury on the Low-Emissions Economy draft report.
