About Cynthia

Dr. Cynthia Williams serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Global Health Management and Informatics within the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of Central Florida. She earned a BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida, a BS in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University, an MHA, and a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Central Florida, where she is an alumna of the doctoral program in public affairs. Prior to her current role, which began in 2022, Dr. Williams worked as a home health physical therapist and served as president of a home care business, bringing extensive clinical and administrative expertise to her academic position. Her interdisciplinary background equips her to design programs, evaluate policies, build community partnerships, and conduct community-engaged research focused on vulnerable populations, including low-income minority groups within healthcare and public health systems.
