Dr. C.V. Gowda, known fully as Dr. Channaveere Gowda B.N, is Vice-Principal, Associate Professor, and Head of the Postgraduate Department of Economics at Vivekananda Institute of Management, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Mysore, M.A. in Economics from Bangalore University, M.Phil. from Madurai Kamaraj University, MBA in Human Resource Management from Karnataka State Open University in Mysore, and Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Bangalore University. With over 17 years of postgraduate teaching and research experience in M.A. Economics, MBA, M.Com., and MHA programs, he has guided theses for M.Phil. and Ph.D. students in Economics and numerous MBA projects for Bangalore University. His specializations include Agriculture and Agri Business Management, Managerial Economics, Health Economics, and Human Resource Management.

Dr. Gowda has presented more than 40 research papers at national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad, including academic assignments at VIT Vellore, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. He has authored one book, edited another, and published over 40 research papers in national and international refereed peer-reviewed journals, with a notable publication being 'Indian Agriculture before and after Economic Reforms' in the Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research in 2019. A life member of the Indian Economic Association and the World Economic Association, he engages in academic activities with Bangalore University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Visvesvaraya Technological University, and various autonomous and deemed universities. He serves as visiting faculty at reputed management institutions, academic counselor for Indira Gandhi National Open University, and resource person for over 10 lectures in workshops for pre-university Economics lecturers and colleges. Additionally, Dr. Gowda is an elected director of the Graduates Credit-Cooperative Society, Bengaluru.
