He has secured significant funding, including a £2.2 million Medical Research Council grant in 2017 for first-in-human studies of high-intensity focused ultrasound and over £2.4 million for research into stillbirth prevention related to fetal growth issues. Professor Lees has authored key textbooks such as Placental-Fetal Growth Restriction (2018) and Maternal Hemodynamics, and contributed to Dewhurst’s Textbook of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. With over 12,000 citations across hundreds of publications, his work influences international guidelines on fetal growth management.
