About Catherine

Catherine Deen is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour at the School of Business, University of New South Wales Canberra. She earned a PhD in Business specialising in Organisational Behaviour from The Australian National University, a PhD in Education specialising in Educational Management from De La Salle University Manila, an MA in Psychology specialising in Counselling from Ateneo de Manila University, and a BA in Psychology cum laude from De La Salle University Manila. A registered psychologist and certified specialist in educational psychology in the Philippines, she entered full-time academia in 2018 following more than 20 years in educational administration, teaching, and research. Her previous leadership roles encompassed research management, admissions services, faculty development, and inclusion services, where she introduced innovative, evidence-based approaches to education. In 2017, she received the International Visitor Leadership Program grant from the U.S. Department of State focused on inclusive higher education.
