Dr. Brooke Osborne serves as Associate Dean, Adelaide University Online, and as an academic developer within the Teaching Innovation Unit in Adelaide University Online and Learning Futures. With over a decade of clinical experience as a radiographer and sonographer in major public hospitals, she transitioned into academia, completing a Graduate Diploma in Education. At the University of South Australia, she held roles as course coordinator and program director for medical sonography programs, linking her clinical expertise with educational practices. Her PhD research focused on the development and accuracy of self-judgement and evaluation of clinical skills competency throughout tertiary health education. Brooke's work emphasizes preparing students to become safe, reflective, and collaborative health practitioners, with a strong interest in student self-concept and professional preparedness.
Brooke's research specializations include the effectiveness of high-fidelity ultrasound simulators in teaching obstetric ultrasound skills and skills development in allied health professionals. She has contributed significantly to the field through numerous peer-reviewed publications.
