Brandy Niccolai-Belfi serves as Dean of Arts & Humanities at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus. She earned a B.A. in Dance from Slippery Rock University in 2004, where she received the Lucy Isacco Sack Scholarship from the Dance Department. She then pursued graduate studies at Texas Woman’s University, obtaining an M.F.A. in Dance in 2007, along with two scholarships, a graduate teaching assistantship, and the Excellence in Teaching award. Following her MFA, Niccolai-Belfi began her academic career as an adjunct professor of dance at Tarrant County College across South, Southeast, and Connect campuses for seven years, and concurrently at Collin College for three years. She also danced professionally with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre for five years and worked as a Pilates instructor for eight years.
In Spring 2014, she was appointed Associate Professor of Dance at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus, teaching courses such as Ballet, Dance Appreciation, Dance Composition, Dance Performance, Dance Practicum, Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, and Modern Dance. Shortly thereafter, she became Program Director of Dance, managing choreography, scheduling, recruitment, marketing, hiring, event planning, and direction of the Fusion Dance Company. In Fall 2018, she served as interim Department Chair of Fine Arts before assuming the permanent role, overseeing the Art, Dance, and Music programs. In 2019, she was named Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Tarrant County College. Throughout her tenure, Niccolai-Belfi has performed as a solo dance artist, commissioning works from local professional choreographers, and contributed to numerous college dance events including the MERGE Tarrant County College Faculty and Guest Artist Dance Concert and district-wide performances. Her leadership has fostered thriving dance programs, providing students with diverse performance opportunities and community engagement. As Dean of Arts & Humanities, she continues to advance fine arts education within the institution.
