Dr. Brad M. Sutton is a Clinical Professor at the Indiana University School of Optometry, where he also holds the position of Associate Dean for Clinical and Patient Care Services. Based at the Indianapolis Eye Care Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, he serves as Chief of Service. Sutton earned his Doctor of Optometry (OD) from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Indiana University in 1989. His primary clinical interests focus on ocular disease and surgical co-management, areas in which he has established significant expertise in eye and vision care, including the diagnosis, management, and treatment of eye disease.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sutton has delivered over 550 continuing education lectures on ocular disease topics to audiences across the nation and internationally, contributing substantially to professional development in optometry. He has published extensively on related subjects. His leadership and contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including Young OD of the Year in both Tennessee and Indiana, OD of the Year in Indiana, and the Indiana Optometric Association’s Educator of the Year award. Additionally, he has served as Past President of the Optometric Retina Society, underscoring his influence in specialized areas of ocular health.
