Bikramjit Pal serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at RUMC (RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus) in Penang, Malaysia. He holds an MBBS from Calcutta, an MS in Surgery, FRCS from Ireland, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Professions Education from RCSI. His academic appointments include prior roles at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, where he contributed to medical education initiatives. Pal’s research focuses on general surgery topics such as diabetic foot ulcer management and the application of high-fidelity simulation in undergraduate medical training, with multiple peer-reviewed publications addressing these areas from 2013 onward, including studies on simulation efficacy published in journals such as Medical Journal of Malaysia and The Asia-Pacific Scholar.
