About Bikesh Raj

Dr. Bikesh Raj Upreti is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Information Systems at the University of Queensland Business School in Brisbane, Australia. He earned his doctoral degree from Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finland, with a dissertation titled 'Untangling the Application of Text-mining Methods in Information Systems Domain.' Following his PhD, he served as a postdoctoral researcher and visiting scholar in the Department of Information Service Management at Aalto Business School before joining the University of Queensland. His research focuses on applied computational methods and quantitative inquiry into inter-disciplinary phenomena, employing advanced machine learning, deep learning, and analytical tools for large-scale behavioral and predictive analytics in information systems, marketing, finance, and political discourses.

Upreti's scholarly contributions appear in prestigious journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Travel Research, and Electronic Markets, as well as peer-reviewed conference proceedings including ICIS, HICSS, and Bled.
