Bhavika Khetani serves as Lecturer in Cyber Security within the School of Science and Information Technology, part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Curtin University Dubai. She possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Management from Manipal University, Dubai, complemented by a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing from Middlesex University, where she achieved distinction for her thesis. Her professional qualifications include certification as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Information Security Consultant (CISC), underscoring her expertise in practical cybersecurity applications. Khetani’s academic background has equipped her to deliver high-impact education in the rapidly evolving field of cyber security, emphasizing hands-on skills and real-world relevance.
Launching her career as a Teaching Assistant in Cybersecurity at Zayed University, Bhavika Khetani designed and led ethical hacking laboratories, constructed vulnerable machines for training purposes, and coordinated numerous Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions engaging over 300 students. She further expanded her teaching portfolio as an Adjunct Lecturer at Manipal University and Murdoch University, instructing both Bachelor’s and Postgraduate Diploma cohorts in information systems and related disciplines. Her invitation to participate in a panel discussion on thesis and research programs highlights her recognized proficiency in academic guidance. At Curtin University Dubai, Khetani implements a cooperative learning philosophy, crafting interactive and enjoyable classroom experiences that ignite students’ enthusiasm for cybersecurity. She has contributed to university initiatives, including serving as staff for the ICISAS-2025 conference and co-authoring a paper on hardening containerized environments. Additionally, she has organized cybersecurity workshops and bootcamps for high school students, promoting ethical hacking and digital safety awareness. Through these efforts, Khetani bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
