Rate My Professor Beth Dinneen

Beth Dinneen, M.S., CCC-SLP, serves as Lecturer and Clinic Coordinator in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She earned a B.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1990 and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the same institution in 1992. Her professional career began as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Lincoln Public Schools from 1992 to 2000. She later held roles including Education and Clinical Application Specialist at Blink-Twice from 2005 to 2010, Education/Training Specialist at DynaVox-Mayer Johnson from 2009 to 2010, and Recruitment Manager/Lab Manager at Brookes Publishing from 2011 to 2014, where she collaborated on research developing a play-based assessment for pre-intentional infants. Since joining the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014 as Lecturer/Clinical Supervisor, she has taught courses such as Introduction to Communication Disorders and Clinical Decision Making I while providing clinical supervision for graduate students. In 2023 she advanced to Clinic Coordinator for speech and language services at the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic. Her areas of expertise include autism and severe disabilities as well as early intervention. Dinneen has received the Parents’ Recognition Award from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Parents Association in 2015, 2018, and 2019, along with the CEHS Faculty of the Month recognition in November 2018. She maintains affiliations with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association and holds certifications including ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology and Nebraska licenses in speech pathology and teaching.
