About Ashkan

Ashkan Zarghami is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the Research School of Management, Australian National University, part of the College of Business and Economics. He serves as Deputy Director - Research in the school. Zarghami holds a PhD in Operations Management from the University of Adelaide, an MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Adelaide, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. His professional background includes experience in large-scale infrastructure network and construction projects.

Zarghami's academic interests include project management, operations management, systems thinking, sustainability, construction management, complex systems, infrastructure networks, reliability engineering, and supply chain networks. He employs qualitative and quantitative methodologies, specializing in mathematical modeling to advance novel ideas and innovations. He is registered to supervise research students and participates in international collaborations, such as serving as Co-Investigator in the Yamatji South - Clean Energy Scoping Project.
