Annette Burgess

Annette Burgess is Professor of Medical Education in the Sydney Medical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBusStud), Master of Business Training (MBT), Master of Education (MEd), Master of Medical Education (MMedEd), Master of Bioethics (MBioethics), PhD, and Principal Fellowship of Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) from Advance HE awarded on 1 January 2021. She has held progressive appointments at the University of Sydney, including Senior Lecturer, Executive Officer of the Central Clinical School in the Faculty of Medicine, Associate Professor, and currently Professor of Medical Education. Burgess co-leads the Clinical Teaching Fellowship program in the Sydney Medical School and serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Clinical Teacher journal. She is also recognized as a Team-Based Learning consultant.
