Helps students see their full potential.
Ann Charlish serves as the Programme Lead for Art & Design Foundation within the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University. In this capacity, she oversees a team that organises workshop sessions essential for international creative partnerships. A notable example is the Scintilla exhibition held in 2026, which celebrated the ongoing collaboration between the School of Design and Creative Arts and Joshibi University of Art and Design. These workshops provide foundation students with opportunities to engage in meaningful international exchanges prior to beginning their degree studies, enhancing their creative development and global perspective.
Ann Charlish has also made significant contributions to other university initiatives, including the Inversion exhibition in 2023, where she received special thanks for her amazing input in supporting the project and making it possible through staff collaboration. Additionally, she acts as the primary contact for informal enquiries regarding the University Teacher position in Fine Art and Visual Communication Specialisms, a 0.5 FTE role within the Art & Design Foundation Studies team. Her work supports the practical, hands-on education in fine art and visual communication pathways.
