Angela Neugebauer received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Otago, graduating in the ceremony on August 17, 2013. Prior to her association with the university's Bioethics Centre, she served as a General Case Work Lawyer at Community Law Otago, as noted in their 2017 annual report. In 2019, she acted as a duty lawyer in cases at the Dunedin District Court.
