Rate My Professor Andrew Neely

Professor Andrew Neely is a Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at UNSW Canberra and serves as Associate Dean (Innovation & Industry Partnerships). He leads a research group focused on the fluid-thermal-structural behaviour of high-speed vehicles and propulsion systems. His work has contributed to projects including the DST/USAF HIFiRE, HyCAUSE and SCRAMSPACE flight experiments. Professor Neely also collaborates on investigations into the biomechanical behaviour of nerve tissue.

Professor Neely holds positions including Non-executive Director of the Canberra Innovation Network and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He previously served as President of the Royal Aeronautical Society Australian Division and Vice President of the International Society for Air Breathing Engines. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and has received multiple AIAA awards, including the Structural Dynamics Best Paper Award in 2022 and the Sustained Service Award in 2021. Professor Neely has been involved in organizing international conferences and outreach programs in aerospace engineering.
