Dr. Amalina Ibrahim is a Lecturer and Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Management and Marketing, Curtin Business School, Faculty of Business and Law at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. She holds the post-nominal qualifications PhD, MBA, BCom, having completed her Doctor of Philosophy at Curtin University in 2023 under the principal supervision of Professor Subra Ananthram. The title of her doctoral thesis is 'A Composition Based View of Organizational Ingenuity: Empirical Evidence from SMEs in India'. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Curtin University in 2014. Previously serving as Course Lead, her office is located in Building 402, Room 917, Curtin Business School 1, with contact telephone 08 9266 3263.
Dr. Ibrahim's research focuses on organizational ingenuity, innovation and entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises, strategy, and international business. She co-authored 'Building Innovation Capabilities in the UAE Small and Medium Enterprises through Assessment and Networks' in 2018 alongside Subramaniam Ananthram and others from Curtin University. Under her full name Nur Amalina Izyan Ibrahim, she co-presented research at the Academy of International Business Oceania Chapter Research Symposium. She contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for the Academy of International Business. In her extensive teaching portfolio, Dr. Ibrahim has been unit coordinator for MGMT3001 International Management: Theory & Practice, MGMT6003 Global Business Dynamics, MGMT2001 Start-Up Business Planning (including Trimester 3 2023 Dubai International Academic City), MGMT3010 Strategic Management (Semester 2 2021 Curtin Mauritius), MGMT2000 Organisational Behaviour (Trimester 1A 2021 Singapore Campus), and others such as IBUS1001 Introduction to Global Business and MGMT5024 Organisational Change & Transformation. She supports global short-term programs in Business and Law as a contact point and delivers education across Curtin campuses including Bentley Perth, Dubai, Malaysia Miri Sarawak, Mauritius, and Singapore, fostering international perspectives in management education.
