Rate My Professor Allison Adams

Allison Adams serves as Nursing Professor, Nursing Department Head, and Simulation Lab Professor at Fletcher Technical Community College in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) from Nicholls State University. Certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), Adams leads the Nursing and Allied Health division's simulation laboratory, where she facilitates hands-on training for students in realistic clinical scenarios. Her roles encompass program coordination and instruction across several nursing pathways offered by the college.

Adams instructs in the Associate of Science in Nursing program, Practical Nursing to Associate of Science in Nursing, Certificate of General Studies in Nursing, and Medical Clinical Assistant certificate program. Documented in college catalogs from 2013-2014 through 2023-2024, her faculty tenure reflects sustained commitment to nursing education. In 2025, as Department Head, she co-hosted the Nursing and Allied Health Career Fair. She presented to the Louisiana State Board of Nursing in October 2022 regarding nursing programs. Adams received the Outstanding Faculty Member award at the 2021 Fletcher LCTCS Annual Conference and the Servant Leader recognition from Human Resources. She participates in professional development training and contributes to organizational charts as Simulation Lab Associate Professor and Department Head. Additionally, Adams hosts the Nursing Nuggets podcast, sharing insights on nursing topics for students and professionals.
