Allen W. Frazier, Ph.D., is Dean of the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration and Professor at Harding University, positions held since 2015. Previously, he served as Associate Dean from 2010 to 2015 and Chair of the Management Department from 2006 to 2015. Frazier joined the Harding faculty in 2001 as an Assistant Professor, advancing through the academic ranks to full Professor. His academic credentials include a B.B.A. from Harding University in 1983, an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2000, and a Ph.D. from Capella University in 2006. Prior to his academic career, Frazier gained extensive practical experience over 18 years in banking and financial services. He held the position of Vice-President and Senior Loan Manager at The American National Bank from 1998 to 2001, Vice President, Manager, and Senior Lender at Associated Bank from 1997 to 1998, and Vice-President, Sales Manager, and Marketing Director at Bank One from 1990 to 1997.
Frazier's areas of expertise include organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, commercial banking, human resource management, personal finance, leadership seminars, organization management, leadership and power, and ethics. He has presented scholarly papers at Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) International Conferences: “CRM in Financial Services” in 2004, “Transformational Leadership and the Use of Power” in 2005, and “The Centrality of Leader Integrity, is Leader Integrity Important?” in 2006. He serves on several key committees, including the Harding University Cabinet, Dean's Council, Executive Committee, and Academic Affairs Committee. Notable honors include advising three student teams to first-place wins in the Arkansas Governor's Cup Business Plan Competition in 2005, 2006, and 2015; receiving the 2014 Sam Walls Entrepreneur Educator Award; the 2009 Harding University Teacher Achievement Award; and the 2005 College of Business Administration Faculty of the Year award.
