Alison Wade serves as a Lecturer at Adelaide University, based in the Integration Management Office under the Optimisation and Stabilisation program at the Whyalla campus. As an Education tutor, she brings a strong background in Health and Physical Education, with a deep commitment to delivering high-quality teacher education courses. Alison is passionate about supporting students to achieve success in their studies and effectively transition into the workforce. Her teaching emphasizes the development of essential employability skills, preparing future educators for diverse classroom environments across primary and middle levels.
Alison earned her Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) followed by a Bachelor of Education (Primary/Middle). In 2010, she relocated to Whyalla and commenced her professional career working in local primary and secondary schools, gaining hands-on experience in educational practice. She now focuses on supporting Education students in her university role, which was previously associated with the University of South Australia before the institutional merger forming Adelaide University. Her extensive teaching portfolio includes key courses such as EDUC 1018 Design and Technology Education (offered in 2025 and 2024), EDUC 1085 Growth and Motor Development (2025), EDUC 2006 Health and Physical Education (2025 and 2024), EDUC 3073 Mathematics Education 1 (2025 and 2024), EDUC 3093 Primary Mathematics Education 2, HLTH 1013 Fitness and Lifestyle Management (2025 and 2024), and EDUC 3075 Mathematics Education 2 (2024). Through these offerings, Alison contributes to foundational knowledge in health, physical activity, motor development, mathematics pedagogy, and technology integration in education.
