Alison Parolo is an adjunct staff member in the School of Education at Murdoch University, affiliated with Baldivis Secondary College. She currently serves as Principal of Baldivis Secondary College, having previously held the position of foundation Associate Principal there. With over 30 years of experience in Western Australia's education sector, Parolo's career includes teaching positions at Brookton District High School, Armadale Senior High School, and Lesmurdie Senior High School. Her leadership emphasizes creating inclusive school environments where students thrive.
At Baldivis Secondary College, Parolo has spearheaded projects that strengthen student voice, celebrate cultural diversity, and deliver improved support for students. She has established strong partnerships with local schools and Aboriginal communities to foster connection and belonging. Her dedication to education and community has earned her recognition as a finalist in the Department of Education Western Australia's Director General’s 2026 Women of Achievement Awards. Influenced by her upbringing on a farm south of Katanning and mentorship from educational leader Keith Svendsen for over 25 years, Parolo maintains a warm and friendly approach that makes everyone feel welcome at school.
