Dr. Alasdair Reid is a General Practitioner at Student Health Services, University of Otago, located in Dunedin, New Zealand. Originally from Scotland, he graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013 with a medical degree. After graduation, he initially trained in anaesthetics in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2018, Dr. Reid moved to New Zealand, where he worked as a registrar in psychiatry and emergency medicine for several years before transitioning to general practice in 2022. He holds qualifications as a GPEP 3+ general practitioner and contributes to the provision of primary healthcare services to university students.
At Student Health Services, Dr. Reid supports the health needs of students through routine and urgent medical appointments, available both in-person and via telehealth. The service operates extended hours on weekdays, offering care including immunizations and general consultations for enrolled students who have paid the student services fee.
