Adam Blair serves as Associate Professor and Division Chair of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Mathematics division at Henderson Community College. In this capacity, he oversees faculty in psychology, communications, English, humanities, mathematics, and interdisciplinary early childhood education. Blair holds a Master of Arts degree from Oakland City University, earned in 2011. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023, recognizing his contributions to the institution. Previously, he acted as interim Chair of the Liberal Arts and Professional Studies division. His career at Henderson Community College includes key administrative and teaching roles focused on education programs.
As Teacher Education Program Coordinator, Adam Blair manages the Associate of Applied Science in Education, with emphasis on K-12 Education and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education pathways. He coordinates the 2+2 transfer program partnership with Murray State University, enabling HCC students to efficiently complete bachelor's degrees. This collaboration ensures timely progression for students pursuing advanced credentials in education. Blair supports student advising in education and engages in campus activities, serving as primary advisor for Phi Theta Kappa honor society and advisor for Campus Crafters organization. He co-directed the college's Quality Enhancement Plan, 'Solving the Puzzle: Metacognition and Student Success,' promoting metacognitive strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Blair teaches courses such as EDU 140 - Introduction to Behavior Management and contributes to faculty promotions and organizational leadership within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. His work fosters student engagement and academic excellence in teacher preparation at the community college level.
