Dr. Steve Korakan Ales serves as Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of School in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Papua New Guinea University of Technology. His research and teaching areas encompass Materials Science & Engineering, focusing on Friction Stir Welding of aluminum alloys and high-temperature alloys, smart materials, design and manufacturing, production of fiber-reinforced polymer composites, and renewable energy sources including geothermal, bio, wind, and solar power along with energy policy.
