Description Research position at the level of Postdoctoral Research Scientist is available at the Center for Radiological Research (CRR.columbia.edu) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York to investigate the effect of acute high-dose radiation exposure on the gut microbiome and its impact on gastrointestinal (GI) tract injury. We have developed an orally administered radiomitigator that is specifically targeted to the mucosal surface of the GI tract to potentially alleviate the deleterious effects of radiation in animal models. Description The stuttering and vvariability (savvy) lab in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at New York University (NYU) (PI: Eric S. Jackson) is looking to hire a Research Scientist for a period of at least one year. The savvy lab focuses on stuttering in adults and children, particularly the variability with which stuttering events occur and the factors that drive this variability (e.g., social-cognitive processing, cognitive control).
