Description The NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions (MPAP) Music Theory and History program seeks a qualified candidate to teach a graduate seminar in post-1945 contemporary music history, with an emphasis on recent trends in contemporary music. The course meets on campus Tuesdays from 4:55–6:35pm, starting September 1, 2022. Description Interactive Media Arts (IMA) is a rigorous undergraduate program that combines practice-based and scholarly work in order to explore the social and cultural possibilities of emerging media and media creation. Our department is engaged in creative scholarship with research in design, software development, immersive media, robotics, electronic music, physical computing, data visualization, digital fabrication, games, and tangible and digital media. Our seminars combine the theoretical study of the history, philosophy, and politics of emerging media.  The IMA department at NYU Shanghai invites applications for an Adjunct Teaching Faculty to start in Fall 2023.
