Description
The NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions (MPAP) Music Theory and History program seeks a qualified candidate to teach a graduate seminar in post-1945 contemporary music history, with an emphasis on recent trends in contemporary music. The course meets on campus Tuesdays from 4:55–6:35pm, starting September 1, 2022. The ideal candidate will have strong interest in inclusivity and expanding diversity in music history pedagogy. Additionally, applicants with research and teaching interests in contemporary music analysis or music beyond the traditional Western canon are especially encouraged to apply with the possibility for additional courses in the spring.
