The Skiniotis lab in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Physiology is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 1 (LSRP1). The lab’s research is primarily focused on developing a mechanistic understanding of signal translation at the cell membrane using structural biology, biochemistry, and simulation methods to reconstruct a dynamic view of protein complexes involved in cellular signaling processes.
The LSRP1 is expected to work with senior staff and postdoctoral researchers to assist ongoing studies on the structural biology and biochemistry of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) and other associated proteins. In supporting research activities, the LSRP1 will perform basic functions and work independently to design, conduct, and analyze experiments. The position also includes lab maintenance tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining chemical inventory and lab safety records, and training new staff and students.
