Description
Two Postdoctoral Research Scientist positions are available immediately for highly motivated candidates to join the Amundson Laboratory, which is part of the Center for Radiological Research (crr.columbia.edu) in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Irving Medical Center in Upper Manhattan.
Two major NIH-funded project areas are available. The first uses gene-expression-based approaches to understand and predict individual responses after exposures to radiation. The second project is focused on exciting approaches for curing hard-to-treat cancers using new types of particle radiotherapy. The projects involve collaborations with the unique facilities at Columbia’s Mouse Hospital (www.olivelab.org) and Columbia’s Radiological Research Accelerator Facility (www.raraf.org). This is an outstanding opportunity to work with investigators in leading radiation biology and pancreatic cancer laboratories.
