The Cochella lab is looking for a Research Specialist who will join a young and dynamic, international, scientific community to tackle questions related to regulation of gene expression during development and disease. The main responsibilities will be ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory (including managing supplies and reagents), molecular biology work, and work with the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans (such as managing a frozen strain collection, microinjection, microscopy and genetics). For interested candidates there will be opportunities to pursue an independent research project, and a chance to make an important contribution to basic biomedical research.
