The laboratory of Professor Susan Ozanne (http://www.mrl.ims.cam.ac.uk/research/principal-investigators/susan-ozanne/) is seeking a postdoctoral research associate who has experience in cardio-metabolic phenotyping in rodent models. Our main research interest is in understanding how obesity and impaired glucose tolerance during pregnancy impacts on offspring cardio-metabolic health. We are particularly interested in establishing intervention strategies in the mother that improve both maternal and offspring cardiovascular and metabolic health. Supported by the British Heart Foundation, this post will involve cardio-metabolic phenotyping of rodent models to study the effects of interventions that target insulin resistance and oxidative stress.
Key responsibilities
Scientists with experience in cardiovascular and metabolic phenotyping, especially in relation to maternal and fetal physiology, are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a background in studying...
