An exciting opportunity has arisen for a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Astronomy, funded by the Leverhulme Centre for Life in the Universe. The post-holder will work collaboratively between the groups of Dr. Amy Bonsor, Institute of Astronomy, Dr Paul Rimmer, Battcock Institute, Cavendish Laboratory and Dr. Auriol Rae, Department of Earth Sciences. For the present position, interest and expertise in delivery of cometary material to early Earth, either from an astronomical perspective (dynamical expertise), from a planetary science perspective (impact processes) or from a chemistry perspective (chemical kinetics) and ideally an interest in the interdisciplinary connections between these domains. In addition to leadership of core projects in this area, applicants are encouraged to develop independent research programs, in particular those that contribute to the broader aims of the Leverhulme Centre.
