Applications are invited for this new clinical academic post to be held within the Autism Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Cambridge, within the Department of Psychiatry. The ARC's mission is to understand the causes of autism and to establish which interventions are helpful and for whom. We welcome applications from postdoctoral scientists who are eligible for a Consultant post in the NHS as this post is for 3 days per week working in the Child and Adolescent Autism Clinical Pathway in the North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), with 2 days per week undertaking research in the ARC. Funding for this role comes from a donation from NELFT to the University. The successful applicants will be expected to take the lead on writing grant applications to funders such as NIHR to fund the projects costs of their research and to extend their own salary beyond the first 5 years. The role holder will work with the AIMS-2-TRIALS team within the University of Cambridge Autism Research Centre, as well as working collaboratively with partner institutions across Europe, charity partners including Autism Europe, Autistica, other EU autism charities and members of the autism community. The role holder will work on the Stakeholder Engagement work package (WP5) with a particular focus on autism policy research. WP5 includes communication, dissemination, and education for the AIMS-2-TRIALS research programme. We wish to appoint a Research Assistant within the Autism Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Cambridge. The Research Assistant will work with another Research Assistant role holder and a Research Associate on the Longitudinal European Autism Project (LEAP) part of the AIMS-2-TRIALS research programme. This is a longitudinal study including of a cohort of 85 autistic and non-autistic people who have previously taken part in this project in Cambridge. Participants are currently being invited to take part in a third time point of this study.
