Description
The Department of History at the University of Chicago is accepting applications for a non-renewable, two-year Postdoctoral Researcher at the rank of Instructor in Black History. This NEH funded position is part of the Oak Woods Project, a collaborative, interdisciplinary initiative centered on a historic cemetery located in Woodlawn, Chicago. The successful candidate will teach two courses a year as part of the Chicago Studies program at the University, will help develop a partnership with CPS as part of the project, and can participate in future grant applications to extend and expand the project.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in History, American Studies, or a related field, with a focus on American History, Black Studies, Urban Studies, or Public History. Experience with or interest in public history and public education collaborations are preferred....
