We seek a scholar with teaching and research interests in the social impact of performance in Africa, particularly sophisticated theories of how performance shapes lived realities, forges belonging, and declares being in the African political economy of West Africa. This is a two-year, full-time and benefits eligible, post-doc position as Fellow for the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life, beginning September 1, 2023. Candidates must complete all Ph.D. requirements before September 1, 2023. The successful applicant will participate in the Brady Scholars community, including teaching two courses in moral and/or political philosophy, at least one of which will be a seminar for Brady sophomores. The recipient will be expected to participate fully in the intellectual and social activities of the Brady Program, and provide pedagogical mentoring and advising throughout the year.
