Dr. Aydemir’s research group investigates the metabolism and transporter-mediated function of micronutrients, zinc, and manganese in mammalian systems. These studies involve the integration of the techniques in biochemistry, molecular, cellular biology, neuroscience, and physiology to micronutrient biology and related disorders.
