Two postdoctoral or more senior research positions are available in Prof. Robert Prud'homme's lab in Princeton's Chemical and Biological Engineering Department.  The researchers will work on projects related to the lab's nanoparticle research.  One area is a Gates-funded project to enhance drug bioavailability by nanoparticle formation. Gates is currently scaling up our process to produce an anti-malarial drug in WuXi in China. The second area is encapsulation and release of peptides, oligonucleotides and proteins. Our new process enables higher loadings and encapsulation efficiencies than have ever been achieved. Description The researcher will work in the group of Prof. Aleksandar Donev on developing fast methods for solving electrostatics and Stokes flow problems involving particles in semi-confined geometries. Examples of physical systems of interest include suspensions of colloids driven by external electric and magnetic fields, lipid membranes, and electrolytes.
