Savannah Technical College is seeking a Payroll Specialist, to serve as an integral component of the college's Human Resources/Payroll team. Under general to limited supervision, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for responsible for the coordination/management of all payroll operations and related transactions.
Typical job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Advises employees or retirees on benefit programs, tax withholding options, payroll-related laws, payment deductions, deferred compensation, employee deduction program, etc.
Accurately processing and reviewing payroll transactions in PeopleSoft HRMS.
Analyzes/audits payroll for accuracy of preparation/posting.
Computes and/or reconciles balances, and makes corrections as necessary.
